Transportation Requirements For Concrete Guardrail Production Lines

The transportation requirements for concrete guardrail production lines mainly include the following aspects:

Maintaining concrete uniformity: During transportation, the uniformity of concrete must be maintained to avoid segregation. This can be achieved through proper mixing and the selection of suitable transportation tools to ensure that concrete does not stratify or segregate during transportation.

Control transportation time: The transportation time should be shortened as much as possible to prevent the concrete from being poured before initial setting. Generally, the time from the discharge of concrete from the mixer to the completion of pouring should not exceed the prescribed time limit. The specific time needs to be adjusted according to whether admixtures are added or fast-hardening cement is used.

Prevent cement slurry loss: The design of the transportation container should be tight, without leakage or water absorption, to reduce the loss of cement slurry. This helps to maintain the strength and performance of concrete.

Temperature control: Temperature control of concrete during transportation is also important. The maximum temperature of concrete transported to the pouring site should not exceed 35°C, and the minimum temperature should not be lower than 5°C. In summer, when the temperature is high, insulation measures should be taken; in winter, insulation measures should be taken.

Requirements for pumping concrete: If pumping concrete is used, the continuous operation of the concrete pump should be ensured, there should be enough concrete in the receiving hopper, and the pumping interval time should not exceed 15 minutes.
